A vibrantly colored 3-inch plate

"I love Scandinavian design and textile design, and I often look at them," says Igawa.

This work, which combines the vibrant and colorful Scandinavian design with the Japanese painting techniques he learned during his university years, has been assimilated into his own work and created as a unique expression, and is the result of Igawa's careful and honest work.

The greenery, painted in a grid pattern surrounding the cute little flowers, is so detailed that it is hard not to be captivated.

Ayako Igawa

Ayako Igawa

Ayako Igawa is from Ibaraki Prefecture, which is famous for Kasama ware.

After graduating from the Japanese painting course at Kyoto University of Art and Design, he became interested in pottery, which he could use his Japanese painting skills in, and studied at the Ibaraki Prefectural Industrial Technology Center Ceramics Training Center.

She creates pottery with the aim of creating modest yet gorgeous pieces that will add color to your everyday life.

The delicately drawn patterns with thin lines and skillfully expressed colors are only possible thanks to the skills of Igawa, who studied Japanese painting at university.
You can see how carefully each tiny leaf and flower has been painted.

Igawa's works are lovely and have a soft style.

These are dishes that will make you smile the moment you see them.
