Nami Kawakami

Koga is a potter who makes pottery in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Koga, who originally loved handmade crafts and making things, studied pottery at a pottery class for several years before embarking on a full-time career in pottery.
He honed his skills at Yokohama Izumi Ceramic Art Academy.

Initially, he painted cloisonné patterns using blue and white porcelain, but with the desire to "create vessels that people would know who created them at a glance," he switched to using the traditional technique of "itchin."

Attracted by the beauty of the regularly-spaced cloisonné pattern and the meaning contained within, the designer has preserved its essence and made unique arrangements to create the adorable design we see today.

The flowers that serve as motifs are inspired by beautiful scenes encountered in daily life, such as wildflowers blooming by the roadside, seasonal flowers blooming in flower beds, or patterns on kimonos.

The cool and soft painting is done in white and blue on a soft cream-colored base.
It has a calm air about it.

Although they are made of ceramic, they are microwave and dishwasher safe, making them ideal for busy modern lifestyles.
It brings quiet healing and gentleness.
