Mizuki Kawai
Ms. Kawai, who currently creates pottery in Kyoto, crafts pieces that feature elegant, beautiful forms, feminine, soft colors, and eye-catching, beautiful gradations of glaze.
Another charming aspect is the lightness of her pieces, made from semi-porcelain.
They are easy to pick up, blend into daily life, and add a gentle touch of color to the dining table.

In 2022, She became independent in Kyoto and began his full-scale ceramic art activities. Ms. Kawai's works feature forms so perfectly shaped that it's hard to believe they were formed on a potter's wheel, and captivating colors and beautiful gradations that evoke a feminine softness. Ms. Kawai originally preferred matte glazes and had been making works using them. "One day, I was captivated by the subtly different expressions created within a single colored glaze due to firing conditions and other factors, and I started wanting to express them." Her current style, born from this desire, features countless expressions through the shading and bleeding of glazes, allowing one to enjoy nuanced depth.
Another charm is the lightness of the semi-porcelain. Easy to pick up and blend into daily life, these pieces add a gentle touch of color to the dining table.
