Since sometsuke (underglaze blue) pottery often has many crackles, food colors tend to seep in easily.
We recommend sealing the pottery upon receipt and rinsing it with water before each use. (Allowing it to absorb water beforehand will make it harder for food colors to penetrate later.)

Even with these precautions, please understand that it is unavoidable for some color to gradually seep in over time, as this is inherent to earthenware.

【Care Instructions】

For daily cleaning, wash with a sponge and dish soap, then rinse thoroughly.
It is important to dry the vessels completely after washing, rather than storing them immediately.
If water absorbed by the pottery remains, it can cause odors and mold.
*Avoid prolonged soaking.
This can cause the unglazed body to absorb dirt, leading to mold and stains.

Microwave and dishwasher use is possible,
However, when using a dishwasher, please be very careful as there is a risk of damage due to contact or stacking with other dishes.

【About the texture of the work】

Some pieces may have visible marks from firing supports. These marks may also appear on the hand-painted areas.
This does not affect the functionality. Please understand it as part of the vessel's unique character.

Since all painting is done by hand, there may be individual differences in color development, motif form, and placement.

While we only sell items that have passed inspection, some handmade pieces may have slight warps or wobbles. We appreciate your understanding when making a purchase.
