Large spoon
Description
[Care instructions]
For regular maintenance, wash with a sponge and dish soap, then wipe off any excess water.
If moisture is left on the surface, it can cause localized blackening and rust.
As you use it, it will gradually take on a calm, antique-like texture.
We hope you enjoy the charm of brass, which changes over time.
[How to polish]
One of the charms of brass is that it changes over time, but if you want to restore it to its original appearance, please care for it as follows.
-Trays and other brass-only works-
All pieces have a hairline finish (a finish with fine scratches on the surface),
You can clean it with kitchen cleanser and a stiff sponge.
Apply cleanser to a sponge and rub in circular motions without worrying about scratching the surface.
After polishing, rinse thoroughly with water and wipe off any moisture.
-Brass parts of cutlery-
You can also polish the brass parts of cutlery with cleanser and a stiff sponge, but be careful not to rub the silver-plated parts. When polishing, be sure to rub vertically along the hairline.
-Silver-plated parts of cutlery-
The silver-plated parts of the cutlery have a hairline finish with fine scratches,
You can polish it with a cleanser, but polishing with a hard sponge will wear away the silver plating, so please polish gently with your fingers along the hairline.

"I try to create pieces that express the unique texture and beauty of metal. I find the way the texture of metal changes over time to be one of its charms. For that reason, I try to create designs that people will never get tired of and that they can continue to use for a long time." Yokozawa Mika of atelier PEKA is a metalwork artist who mainly creates tableware and accessories in Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture.
These adorable cutlery pieces not only have the stylishness of metal, but also the softness that is unique to Yokozawa's work.
The round and adorable shape, the gentle shine of brass and the soft shine of the silver coating give you a gentle and elegant time. Because each piece is hand-hammered with a wooden mallet or hammer, it has a charming texture that cannot be found in mass-produced items.
The more you use brass, the more its surface oxidizes, giving it an antique-like depth. Enjoy watching it change into a unique piece.
